This shorter, lighter, better balanced and much easier playing 5 is the answer, with a strong, powerful low B that has to be heard to be believed – thanks in part to our special stringing of that low string, pioneered and patented by Birdsong. The “Hy5” demo from way back.

We can do it as an EADGC 5-string with no B string rout, too.

Just like the 4-strings, founder Scott put everything he wanted in one bass - BIG warm neck pickup tone, punchy bridge pickup tone, less reach, perfect balance, full 24 frets, zero fret for consistent open tone and low action, and lots of thought on how to get the B to behave. Now you can have a shorter, more comfortable 5-string with no compromises!
