Mid-week peek

Here’s the belated “Thought for Monday” - I try to post those all here but miss a few.

Thought for Monday: Trust your navigation, not the wind.

(From "More Thoughts for Mondays" in TALKS at www.feelbetteranyway.com, a sharing of no-bull pep talks and an outreach to help you keep on keepin' on. I hope it helps!)

So it’s Wednesday, it was 81 yesterday and it’s 30. Low 40s through the weekend. Being the workshop is just that (or “those” actually, being two little buildings next to each other), it just won’t stay warm in assembly, which is my mentor’s old shop rebuilt out here in MY woods, and there’s no heat at all in the woodshop. 90% of the time it’s not needed. Right now? Heat’s on full and it’s a bit chilly.

But I did want to share this with you, most pics are of the front. This is a beautiful back. I’m into the stash woods now, odd stuff I’ve picked up here and there over the years, some of which I’ve lost the tether to where or when, or even what it is. This bass has TWO mystery woods in it. There’ll be more with more, fo’ sho’.

What’s been playing in the shop? Let’s see… mostly KRTU 91.7, a great San Antonio TX jazz station (you can find it online), a live set by Black Sabbath in ‘74, and some Delta blues compilations.

Be warm & stay cool!
