Thought For Monday: Sometimes you take the generous offer and work around the bits you would not have chosen.
~
From the little green book (“Vol. 1”). Thoughts For Monday is a years-long outreach of positive perspective into a contrary time. Just take this and apply it where needed this week - I sincerely hope it helps. More (in "Talks"), two books of them, and no-bull pep talks = www.feelbetteranyway.com. (Ordering a book or two helps me give a lot of this away freely - thanks!) You are appreciated.

WEDNESDAY 8/31
Yes friends, it’s What’s Up Wednesday! “Wassap?” A quick mission at dawn to jailbreak Ralph the community woods stray cat after getting spayed (I know, the name just stuck, what can I say), followed by a custom three pickup wiring job on Cortobass #425, coats of hand rub on the next few basses to move on into assembly next week, and prepping this “Blackened antique” Birdsong Sparrow Special to fly the nest. Sure is a cute little bugger, isn’t it? These (the 2-pickup Sparrow and the single pickup Sparrow Special), along with the super cool parlor-guitar-looking Companion model, make up the super short scale bass (around 25”) models in our line. Real, giggable basses that tune standard with regular strings and play like guitars. Too much fun! Hope there’s some fun in your hump day, folks! If not, add it to the list. ~Scott

THURSDAY 9/1
It's day one again, my friends. It's the first day of the month. I encourage everyone I can reach to make that matter, to start or continue changes you feel you need to make, or begin again. From one definite work in progress to another, I'll share something. There is a list of positive steps I try to take every day. I call it my "Big 10" - though there are more - and it goes on the list just as does "Routing layer on alder body" and "Back cover plates" and "Nut and string C425"... the obligations in my world I have taken on. Yours may look entirely different, but look at it and use this day to find, say, five things - five steps of betterment or devotion or engagement in this dance you wish to do better or more consistently. Check those off as the day goes on. I hit most of mine most of the time and I'm OK with that because the cumulative results have shown me it's more about them than a few misses. Many of mine are first thing, so one is to rise early enough to do them with proper attention - taking that extra step to fit in what is important to my own health and maintenance and growth. Those help me be and do my best, and that is what we're trying to strive for, right? Don't be down on yourself for the work you need, love and care for yourself enough that it matters and you water your life from the roots of how you live.
