Old pics…
Well friends, here’s the last news page update before the big BIRDSONG GUITARS 20th ANNIVERSARY. Look for the “State Of The Birdsong Address” here on the NEWS page and links to a special 20th ANNIVERSARY page with all the specials! I’m here for questions and orders always - the SALE runs Thursday July 4th 9AM eastern time zone through Sunday afternoon the 7th.
BIRDSONG specials on the Anniversary bass, new builds and sales on inventory in-process basses. ALSO a few of Luthier Jake’s instruments and a few of my pocket bass builds. DEALS. You’ll want to be watching the top of the NEWS page, the steadily updated as things get added and go 20th ANNIVERSARY page, and of course my Facebook page, and Birdsong’s Facebook page.
GOAL THIS YEAR IS 20 ORDERS for our 20 YEARS. That’s an hour to a big factory company, but it’s a lot at one time for us. We’re ready and Jake’s hitting on all 8 cylinders. Let ‘er rip!
And you know what? Let’s get this party started! I’m going to spill the beans on ONE thing for you who come here and read this. 20 years in, that still blows my mind and I’m SO grateful you’re along with us. We’re bringing the Cbass back. If you never grabbed one, it’s a melding of the Birdsong Cortobass body and neck and ergonomics with THE P-bass tone. Well, TWO actually - dial the volume back a little and the tone to half and it’s that round, classic, soulful P-bass tone on all those old albums. It’s really, really close - it’s UNREAL. And… turn it all up, and it’s that aggressive, punchy, ‘70s rock and fusion P-bass voice! BUT it’s 7 or 8 pounds, perfectly balanced, easy playing with less reach and shorter stretches, and doesn’t feel like a ‘71 Caddy around your neck. Here’s an old demo video that explains everything.
So… there’s that. What else? The Anniversary basses? The sales? Inventory? The JAKE stuff? Stay tuned, SEE YOU ON THE 4th!!!
